Don’t you think a motorcycle looks incredibly cool when the wiring is gone?
It has a really simple feel to it.
We don’t just replace the harness—we make sure it’s simple, easy to work on, and safe first and foremost.

We’re upgrading the oil cooler to a larger one like the Bandit 1200.
What we need includes
cooler assembly
hoses left and right
gaskets, dampers, and so on.
It’s leaking from the crimp fitting right now, so good timing?
Our shop has rubber mesh hose and a crimping tool, and we could go with OEM forever, but just because you have the tools doesn’t mean you should use them that way… we’re still thinking about it.
Mesh hose is durable, but the fittings are aluminum, so after a while…
nothing lasts forever.

The bigger size is subtly nice… personally, I think it’s the best? It’s just the right size regardless of season.
It’s not suited for idle champions (though nothing really is…).

350 × 165 mm approximately

300 × 165 mm approximately—the width gets a bit wider.

I’m reluctant to install a brand-new one, I must say.
We initially considered a P-brand oil cooler too, but…
the mounting method is a strange sandwich structure
the lower side isn’t fixed either
the included hose layout is quite puzzling…
past troublesome racing
this time it’s going to be a lot of work, so we decided against it.

So! Time to install.
OEM is great—it just fits right on—truly magnificent.
Back to the wiring.

My method, but I think starting from here is best.
Self-proclaimed reverse pull. It might be surprisingly rare. (labor-intensive)

You have to run everything through from here first before you can lay it out…
This is quite puzzle-like and niche.

Once you pull it all the way to the right side, it’s just front and back from there. (ΦωΦ)

Starter lead
ground lead
motor lead
Some models surprisingly don’t have these, so it’s good to research ahead of time.
If you’re going to keep it long-term, I think it’s worth buying them.
*The Inazuma is still fine for now.

Moving the ground to the very front improves maintenance access too.
The OEM layout isn’t everything.

This time, Inazuma 1200 oil-cooled Katana harness replacement version—whatchamacallit~ (latest)
We’re thinking of moving the annoying tank-bottom area to around the lights.

Let’s branch things out cleanly in the details so the layout is easy.

Grip heater tucked inside the switch cover for a clean look

Let’s also connectorize and shorten the right grip heater wiring.

ETC installed like a lord for the first time in a while—so easy~

Still provisional, but under the tank is super spacious—removing the head cover will be easy too.
Still partway through…
