The muffler runs alongside the shock—a clever design. Since it’s nearly new, it came off easily. Phew!

The construction is very simple, which is a relief.
The bearings are a retainer-less type. They scatter everywhere, which is a bit of a pain.
Newtech NC100 grease should be packed in thoroughly.

Adjustable pivots are really nice.
There are types where the pivot shaft threads in from the right and types where it threads in from the left. I wonder how manufacturers decide.
Even when you can disassemble and reassemble them, don’t you sometimes want to know the reasoning behind it?
If you remove the chain adjuster once and grease it up, it won’t seize, and chain adjustment becomes much easier.
It’s good to lightly grease the wheel oil seal as well.
I gave the rear caliper a light cleaning.
