I was consulted about installing an oil cooler on a GSX1100S. Speaking of Katana, that’s Ono-san → same Chiba Prefecture → so I decided to pick it up directly while saying hello.
Since it’s in Chuo Ward, Chiba City, it’s quite urban, and I was exhausted by the traffic lights and heavy traffic after a long time. I went there while keenly feeling the difference from my outer Boso 50km sense of distance.

Vehicle: Kawasaki ZEPHYR 550 (ZR550)
A rare export-spec 550cc in Japan. The best-balanced machine with the lightness of a 400 and torque approaching a 750.
Purpose: A sense of duty to “give it a ride once in a while” (battery charging & carburetor fuel replacement).
Route: A leisurely 50km one-way (or round-trip) course from my home in Mutsuzawa.
Impression: Just cruising 50km on traffic-free Boso roads was the ultimate refresh for both the bike and me!

It’s located 25km from home, so roughly halfway. Since they serve wild boar, I chose this place.
It’s a style where you cook it yourself. One chopstick is used for cooking.
Since it’s a Genghis Khan hot pot, the volume is less than expected. By the way, the bottom is bean sprouts ONLY. The texture was quite firm. If you want to try something unusual, check it out.

Showroom and factory are separate
I wandered around this area for a few minutes looking for it. It’s tucked away in a super residential neighborhood.
The factory was extraordinarily organized and I was amazed (‘Д’) That’s impressive. I stayed until evening and had various conversations. I’m really looking forward to future prospects, and I’m getting oddly inspired by the drive to keep moving forward.
An Occasional Ride: A Quick 50km Touring on My Zephyr 550.
Vehicle: Kawasaki Zephyr 550 (ZR550). A rare export model in Japan, offering a great balance of lightweight handling and torquey power. Ride: I took it out for a quick 50km ride to keep the battery charged and the carburetors clean. Verdict: Living in Mutsuzawa (Chiba) means a mere 50km ride takes you through beautiful, traffic-free country roads. It was the perfect short trip to refresh both the bike’s condition and my own mind.
