Here’s an introduction to Carrom Shot (model gun) paint.
Surprisingly useful paint!
It’s a paint that doesn’t sag easily, applies smoothly, dries fast, and resists impact.
It’s hard to say it matches gun coat, but for DIY work on small items that you want to paint lightly, I think it does the job pretty well. The color is great too!
It’s just an image, but the finish feels close to black oxide spray.
Rather than crisp, it’s more like thick and moist, if that makes sense.
When you want to paint something quickly, it’s extremely convenient.
The titanium silver is a really nice color. The color saturation is excellent, very beautiful.
I’ve only used this once, but I think it was a glossy silver.
The ones I used regularly before were
· Titanium silver spray 300 ml
· Black steel spray
these two types.
【My application method】
*Since I was doing this as a service, the surface prep wasn’t overly elaborate.
·Polish the surface with wire (a dual-head grinder with stainless steel wire attached)
·Degrease with acetone or similar
·Preheat the object to be painted with a torch (about 3–5 seconds) *Overheating causes bubbling.
That’s it.
In 2–3 minutes you can already touch it and install it, so it’s extremely convenient.
·Rust protection is decent.
·It dissolves in gasoline and fluid.
·It comes off if you rub it hard.
There are pros and cons, but I think the appeal of a spray can with decent durability and fast drying is the main draw.
Since it’s paint used on model guns, I think it would be even better if you apply it carefully.
