Since the heel was hitting during racing, let’s fabricate a new bracket with a revised layout.
Two machined parts and one bent piece. We’ll proceed in a direction that’s straightforward and carries minimal fabrication risk.
We have a bender, so a 180-degree bend is possible, but we need distance for a second bend, so we combined the bender with hand bending.
Since it’s thick material, I managed to complete the joining after a while.
Next is polishing and anodizing, but since there’s only one piece, the unit cost would be high, so we’ll hold off for now.
The pink area was hitting the heel and bothering us, so
we added a slightly thicker pipe wrap.
I think we’ve avoided the problem now.
The racer wants rubber covering on the step bar, so I’ll cut it using an RGB500 part we have on hand as reference.
It’s quite difficult to cut it neatly. I’ll keep working on it. If there’s no anodizing, it might be ready by the weekend.
