I pulled out my digital SLR camera for the first time in a while
I’d like to do videos, images, and all sorts of things~
Now that the exterior work is done, I’m finally getting around to setting up the environment. Due to budget constraints, I’m planning not to make any more equipment investments this year.
There are lots of things I want to do, but I need to work too.
Pulling it out after so long, it’s still really fun. The field of view is completely different, so it’ll take some time to get used to.
Everywhere is empty with rural landscapes stretching out
Basically everywhere is empty. You rarely get stopped at traffic lights and there are very few cars in front of you.
That said, it’s an environment where you need to be careful. Most importantly,watch out for wildlife. Mammals are fine,but there are turtles around, and if you hit one you’ll definitely crash.
Also, with so many fields,you never know where a light truck will come from. Andthere’s sometimes dirt from the fields on the road. I thinkriding at an adult pace, wandering around at leisure, is what feels good about Chiba’s outer Boso.
Being able to ride a bike whenever and wherever you feel like it is truly wonderful.
There’s a yakitori mobile vendor at Super Land on Mondays
A while back on a Monday, I wandered over to Super Land and found a yakitori mobile vendor set up outside. I was a bit hungry, so I bought some yakitori and it was really delicious.
The other day there was a takeout-only yakitori shop near my place, so I went to buy from there, but this mobile vendor is on another level and tastes even better. By the way,at 150 yen per skewer, I just bought 10 and headed home. Nicely, there’s no sales tax on this wonderful mobile vendor.

I’m using the smaller one this time, but for just a quick ride,it’s really plenty of size. Inside I have a single-lens reflex camera, vehicle tools, and cleaning cloths.
Since there’s a net on top like in the image, I can easily carry yakitori home. If possible,I’d recommend the expandable one size upinstead.
Surprisingly, it also works as a seat stopper, so the fit with the bike when riding is really good. Ah, I really appreciate how it doesn’t slide back~
Attachment and installation are super easy,so you’ll think “This is exactly what I was looking for!” When taking customers for test rides, I attach thisand load it with vehicle tools and a small fire extinguisher before heading out.
Ah~ the end of the year is approaching~
The feeling of approaching year-end is completely different from when I was in Tokyo.
Currently,work is a bit overflowingbut in a good balance. However, it’s not as packed as it was in Tokyo,sothere’s less stress. This business restructuring is definitely a major success.
I suspect there are quite a few motorcycle shops feeling the same way. Time passes before you know it, and the energy and motivation from when you started fade away, leaving just days of going through the motions. By now, you can probably imagine how it will all end
I’m not saying to take reckless risks,but “I’ll do it someday!”Maybe it’s time to open that lid on that feeling. The world will surely change quite a bit in 5 or 10 years. I can only go with the flow on how things will change, but choices I think are good tend to have fewer regrets.
I really want to minimize regrets like “I wish I’d done that back then.” Anyway, this is just a story about buying yakitori and heading home. So please read again next time. Thanks for the melancholy
