The customer reported an odd feeling in the steering and requested front maintenance plus SKF & A.S.H. overhaul.

The condition isn’t very good.

First off, the lubrication has dried up, which is not good. It rusts easily and causes damage.

The upper and lower are the same size. I thought it was interesting that the outer diameter matches the oil-cooled type, but the upper side is too thick.

I’ll take measurements just to be sure.

Thorough cleaning all the way through.

Visual inspection is necessary to make sure there are no mistakes.

Kawasaki’s traditional friction-type seal. I’ll assemble it with OEM parts without unnecessary tampering.

Honda would probably use it this way. I prefer this approach too.

It’s important to turn the steering left and right to arrange the wiring, harnesses, brake and clutch hoses so they don’t interfere. Also think ahead about serviceability for the next time you remove the forks or stem.
I believe it’s a mistake to carelessly buy and install mysterious electrical components or hoses.
