At that moment, I realize. The tank is incredibly difficult to remove.
Surprisingly, the Watanabe bracket sticks out quite a bit, and the tank doesn’t come off smoothly. I didn’t like that, so I just ground away the contact areas.
Now it comes off smoothly like the stock version.
Ordered a connector but the terminals won’t come out – trouble
Seriously? It was supposed to be done in a flash.
After some trial and error, I managed to extract them all.
I thought I’d replace everything if they were burned, but the condition isn’t bad at all. I suspect the engine heat deformed them, they hardened, and that’s what caused the crack.
This 110 hasn’t come up recently, so I didn’t have any in stock. With that resolved and rain expected this weekend, it’s humid and muggy, but I’ll head out for a test ride anyway.
Type 2 large port/BS34 carb is delicious
With the Watanabe full power kit installed, vibration and roughness have decreased, giving it a smoother feel. It’s such a nice feeling you could ride it anywhere.
The later air-cooled parallel 4-cylinder GS1000 is a well-finished, great bike, and I still think so today.
That’s how it turned out! Now I just need to create an invoice and it’s complete (*´ω`*)
