Once you see something like that, you want it. I didn’t have curtains anyway and it’s hot.
I ordered it and after about 2 weeks, it finally arrived today. Since I only hear good things, I want to make this a real experience blog.
The packaging is at a level where “problems might occur because it’s too sturdy”
I think it’s somewhat unavoidable, but… Clear bubble wrap with clear vinyl tape is definitely not a good idea to use.
After all, it takes time to open, so using a different colored tape is the sensible choice.
In the end, you have to use a cutter to deal with it, so somewhere in the world, someone has probably cut the contents by mistake. I think it would be better to reduce these kinds of risks.
It’s not as easy to install as I thought. You need to understand the structure.
The rail attached to the window frame side is a one-touch snap-fit system. The surface of the window frame may not always be exposed, so you might need to try a few times. The reverse side of this snap mechanism has some adjustability,
so you might want to adjust it. *I was a bit loose, so I adjusted it slightly.
The curtain is fixed with this plate in a quick-lock system. It’s just a structure where the front and back claws catch.
Short curtains have 2. My long curtains had 4 installed. With 2 it’s easy to install, but with 4 the claws didn’t always grip properly.
This mounting plate itself is fixed freely with a single tapping screw. You have to install it while accounting for the play in this part and the deflection of the rail.
In short, the blind curtain side/rail side isn’t rigid enough, so if everything flexes, it won’t grip properly.
Make sure to check that it’s properly seated
It looks like it’s in but it’s not happened a few times. I had to push hard or remove everything again, and it didn’t go smoothly.
I suspect there aren’t many people who can install it right on the first try.
To release, pry the serrated end of the lever with a minus screwdriver. It has quite a bit of spring tension, so you can’t remove it by hand alone.
In the end… the finish is excellent (*´ω｀*)
The front window gets morning sun, so the sunlight is quite harsh until after noon. With something this simple, the blind curtain itself is invisible, which is really nice.
Like this, you can freely use both blackout and sheer curtains.
