GS1200SS Wiring? Charging Issue and Additional Brake Maintenance

Pretty nice★

Exposed areas inevitably rust.

Don’t forget to inspect★ There are differences in how each manufacturer thinks about seals.
Since we can’t measure seal grooves here at Decoboco, the smart thing is to leave it at speculation.

If it’s rusted, we’ll replace the rear too—that’s the word—so we went with aluminum for the rear as well.
The lubrication system has anodizing applied.

It’s natural, you could say? But with pistons that are almost the same size,
I wonder if calipers are okay? Going forward…
Used: 6P×2, 2P×2 / New: 6P×2, 2P×2. It’s surprisingly tedious and fiddly.

Silver gets dirty easily, so we dyed both front and rear black.
First we tighten by feel, then double-check with a torque wrench★
Even with a torque wrench, if it’s not calibrated, you get a little nervous??
Maybe it’s time to calibrate the torque wrench tester too?
Once you start worrying, you can’t trust anything, so best not to think about it.

Now that we’re this far, let’s give the caliper bolts some shiny Yamaha treatment.

Looking pretty good★
Why is the inner part gold? Is this for a GSF?

The throttle response could use a little more… Ball-type cables, now that’s nostalgic…
The return side has a long inner cable that can’t be adjusted, so I’ll add a spacer on the carb side later.
After that, it’s a test ride and we’re done~
