I still wonder if repro harnesses are faithful to the originals.
There are various risks involved, so it’s probably natural, but if they redesigned them from scratch they’d become even simpler and more efficient—which means higher retail prices and that sounds good too, right? (^_-)-☆
Year-end decluttering work in progress.
I picked up a non-running GS750 with a story quite a while back, thinking I’d get it running someday—and here we are, several years later.
At this rate I’ll never do it. . . . The Z is pretty much sorted, so I need to get this one in shape and running.
I’m not doing anything weird, so it should turn out as expected—or as I’ve been daydreaming about.
For now,
swap the harness for a new one,
run the ignition system with OEM full-transistor,
replace the regulator,
gel battery,
carburetor OH,
and then we’ll see how it goes.

The bodywork comes off easily, so you can really clean deep into every corner.
Honestly, if the harness has a simple layout, you could even take it out and polish all the way into the depths? (Though I probably won’t. . . . )
You could take off all the bodywork and just spray it clean with no fuss . ←Definitely go big?
If you’re loaded you could do it with Plexus too? That might be nice?

At this rate carb bikes are going to keep going up in price. . . . They really are nice. . . .
