The potential of this oil-cooled bike is “crazy!” Inazuma 1200 – Inspection – Yoshimura ST-1 cam – Fork oil change – Initial adjuster – Oil change – Rear master cylinder replacement

Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth –
we’re not getting this one bike finished anytime soon ( ;∀;)

The fork seals arrived (almost evening), so we’ll get it finished.

Depending on the price, replacing the rear master is the way to go.

Suzuki 69600-33C00 This one is a flat-rate 10,000 yen.
When you factor in the rod, cup, piston, nipple and all that plus the overhaul labor, buying a new one is better.

By the way, the mounting is M6, so be careful.
*Most oil-cooled bikes are M8.

I want to disassemble it, apply metal rubber, and reassemble it.

I want it to operate smoothly right from the start (fingers crossed).
It should improve by about 1 percent, maybe…

Brake-related smooth lubricant – Metal Rubber – we use it all the time (‘Д’)

We’ll clean up any spots where bolts are hard to insert.

It’s a pain if they won’t come out or break.
Smooth insertion is what matters.

The oil seal finally arrived.

This Inazuma 1200 one has a single spring, huh.
Back in the day, we’d search for things like “the so-and-so version from Showa with dual springs!”

Why did we search? We were trying different things because we didn’t want it to leak.
These days, leaks like that are pretty much a thing of the past – it’s a great time to be alive.

We’ll use a Makita vacuum pump to pull out even the tiniest air bubbles.

You could also just pump the stroke back and forth to bleed it.
But psychologically, “the feeling that the air is really bled out” increases.

The technician’s mindset matters too. I’m sure it’ll be better.

We’ll swap out the crummy bolts for Honda ones.

This old guy loves steel flanged bolts.
We’ve replaced all the bolts around the top stem.

Next week we’ll get it inspected and we’re done (‘Д’)
