Tires aren’t just BT46! Michelin’s belted bias GSX1100S inspection and more

This year’s end of year is unusually hectic.

First, let’s clean three brake calipers

Since we haven’t covered much distance since last time, the condition was in excellent shape.

Let’s overhaul the rear brake master

We’re going to do the recently popular rear brake master overhaul.
Once you’ve covered a decent amount of distance, it usually seeps, so it’s worth checking.

Can you kind of see how it’s seeping just a little bit?
Japanese brakes have really sturdy boots, so they rarely leak to the outside.

But inside the boots it gets all gummy, so corrosion progresses quite a bit.
We checked the old and new piston diameters before assembling.

And just like that, it’s done!
With so much to do in one day, the blog gets a little rushed.

Front hood replacement, rear air bleed, and we’re done!

Surprisingly popular: braided tubing with Velcro

Customers won’t notice since they don’t disassemble it themselves,
but we actually pay attention to these small details.

There’s the cost of stocking and the effort to find things, but when you discover something good, it’s really satisfying.
The braided tubing with Velcro attached lets you wrap wiring and such however you want.
It’s an excellent product, and I think having one on hand would be incredibly useful.

This way you can wrap the wiring neatly.
I think keeping the wiring organized and clean is quite an important point for workability.

Let’s also replace the fuel cap gasket

Unicorn Japan also sells fuel cap gaskets.
This was the first time I removed it, and there’s a metal guide-like thing inside the gasket.
