CarMate’s HYPER RESIN It had pretty good reviews on Amazon, so I bought it a while back. When I used it, it was quite glossy and had amazing water-repellent properties, which I’m really grateful for.
The more you use it, the thicker the coating becomes and it gets even more lustrous and glossy. It’s also perfect for helmet shields! It will repel water beautifully even during sudden rain.
People have been trying all sorts of these types of chemicals for years. Manufacturers keep trying different things, one after another, through trial and error.
There are only a handful of products that are truly the standard, the go-to choice. There are plenty of products with amazing claims!But when you actually use them, many turn out to be disappointing.
Prexus, which used to deliver stable performance, is still hard to find these days. So I’ve been exploring by looking at various reviews.
My basic selection criteria areUnder 4,000 yen / Easy application / Amazing results. Easy application is an important point for maintaining a polished finish consistently.
Application is simple. Wipe with water → Apply and spread Hyper Resin → Wipe off
Even this somewhat tired-looking Town Ace Van KR42V becomes remarkably glossy. I was honestly surprised by this.
When you see results that match your efforts, it’s really rewarding! Plus, the simple application process is really appreciated. You can keep doing it consistently.
What about the water repellency???
Even the hood that had lost its shine looks like this. Normally, water droplets would remain stubbornly, but it repels water nicely.
The fact that dirt doesn’t stick as easily and it stays glossy is really appreciated.
Perfect for helmet shields
Helmet and full-fairing shields that retain water droplets can be pretty annoying, right? This product is perfect for those situations.
Treating your side mirrors too would be even better. By the way, I recently tried applying it to the factory bathroom as well. Since it repels water nicely, bathroom cleaning should become easier.
Depending on how you think about it, it seems like you could use it for all sorts of things.
They also sell reasonably priced refills, which I’m grateful for. I’ll continue testing it for a while longer to see how high the performance stays.
Open the hood occasionally—No-touch is surprisingly important
I apply no-touch to everything under the hood—rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts, all of it. Then just wipe it off lightly and you’re done. Even if some residue remains, it’s fine.
By providing moisture, you can help prevent hardening to some degree. Both humans and machines need a certain amount of moisture. When things are degreased, oxidation and deterioration progress faster, so please give them some moisture.
