Sakae’s catalog is hard to understand. Please read carefully when ordering.
The rich product lineup is very helpful, but
there are so many similar products that it’s confusing.
Plus there are add-ons like casters, making it incredibly complex.
For small, inexpensive items, you don’t need to be so careful, but
ordering a huge shelf like this wrong would be a real pain.
I’d recommend checking about 10 times before ordering.
The wooden shelf I’ve been using for a long time had insufficient load capacity.
This board shelf basically works without screws, just by fitting pieces together—it’s a nice shelf.
I bought it because I was attracted to the design, but “it’s not suited for heavy use.”
I’m amazed it’s lasted this long.
When a big earthquake comes, I worry because the width is so narrow.
I’ve been torn between adding earthquake bracing or replacing the shelf.
This Nordic wooden shelf is also reaching its limit.
First, it’s too heavy and the legs are starting to collapse.
The shelf dowels are becoming elongated holes and we’re probably close to the end.
Both shelves are already at their limit, so I decided to get a new one.

The structure is very simple, but it takes a bit to understand.
From unpacking to assembly takes about an hour.
Basically, it works by hooking onto claws for locking—very simple.
I always assemble it alone, but since it’s big, it’s a bit of a hassle.

With the width and depth, there’s plenty of storage space.
And moreover,
load capacity of 200kg per shelf! Total shelf capacity of 800kg so it’s extremely sturdy.
Adjusting shelf height is easy. It just hooks on with claws.
That said, it’s tight enough to tap in lightly, so there’s no wobbling.
Changing shelf height without having to remove screws is really appreciated.
Definitely go with casters—it’s all benefits.
Being able to rearrange easily is really nice for me personally.
And since you can move it, cleaning behind is really easy.

I even move it with stuff loaded on it.
This steel rack is really solid, sturdy, and moves so smoothly.
I chose “off-white” because dirt shows easily.
Since the shop is basically off-white, I chose a color where dirt shows so it’s easy to spot.
If dirt shows, you clean it right away, and it makes you use things more carefully.
I think this depends on the item, but
using things where dirt shows is actually interesting.
That’s why white work clothes are still appealing.
