Town Ace Van (KR42V) Inspection. I accidentally forgot the divider bar… I visited Bike World for the first time.

This morning, I had a dentist appointment first thing.
If I can squeeze it in, I might make it to the Town Ace inspection by noon—that’s the plan.

I accidentally forgot to bring the divider bar Out!
Now what do I do??? Pick up a stick? Ask a stranger with a Hiace?
Going back to the shop is out of the question… so I need to think about this.

It’s clear skies this morning, but the inspection is depressing.

I just don’t get motivated about my own vehicle.
I considered going to a private inspection facility, but
when I think about the cost and time, it’s faster to just bring it myself.

I take the Kensodo Expressway exit at “Kisarazu-Higashi” and go through Flower Line to Route 16 to get to the Sodegaura Inspection Station.
Today, Flower Line had road construction, so it was incredibly congested and nothing was moving…

And of course, I was in a hurry…
Having gotten used to rural life, traffic jams have become somewhat of a novelty.

The inspector said, “You’re missing the cargo area divider bar.”

Since it was 11:40 at that point,
I gave up on the morning and decided to patrol a home center for a replacement.

Exploring the Kisarazu Kaneda area

I went to Cainz Kisarazu Kaneda. I’m a Cainz fan for home centers, so I always go there first!

This little greenhouse-like thing… would be perfect for the grinding room… I think.
If I do too much metal work, it might catch fire, but it seems like it would really reduce the scatter.
The price is reasonable too, so it might be worth replacing every year.

Home centers are just too much fun, so I try not to look around too much.

Since I’m only using it for now, I don’t want to spend too much…
Well, the quickest and most secure way to fix it is a “tension rod.”

Home centers are exhausting because you have to search for where things are.
Interestingly, when you ask a staff member, “What are you hanging?”
They ask about weight capacity and such.

I told them I just needed something that could stretch, so I looked at both thin and thick options
and grabbed one from the curtain section. Cleared for about 700 yen.

When I installed it, it fit perfectly! Perfect! This kind of quick thinking is important.

Bike World Kisarazu Kaneda Store

I had about 30 minutes to spare, so I decided to visit a motorcycle megastore.
It was my first time visiting this chain, so I was pretty nervous…

The result was… I felt that Rideyland and Nirin-kan have a more abundant selection.
Since I wasn’t that excited, I walked around the store once and headed to the inspection station.

Outside, there was a Daytona garage storage unit on display.
If you have the land, you’d want to store your bikes in a place like this.
It’s tough with multiple bikes, but considering today’s extreme weather, it seems like a good option.

It’s already afternoon in a flash.

Since it’s just the divider bar, I line up in the usual “Lane 1.”
Smooth communication is important for both sides.

Is user inspection becoming really popular lately?
It seemed like there were only people being warned at the reception desk.
Well, it’s gotten a lot gentler than before, but there are still some hurdles.

I always stop at roadside stations.
JA Kimizu Yuri no Sato. It’s not technically a roadside station, but it’s similar.

The legendary “Gaura Yaki”
Gaura Yaki is… Sodegaura… Gauraa, apparently.
And so time passes in a flash…
