The era of getting what you want whenever you want… the age of mass production and mass consumption…
Wait! I’m going to buy it! And then it’s not in stock… You’ve experienced that, right?
Brake pads, discs, and tires are common enough.
It feels like these things have increased a lot.
And because we’re used to the idea that things are naturally available, I’ve started feeling a real sense of discomfort when they’re not.
You need to work out your replacement list and wish list in advance and secure them right away.
Motorcycles and parts exist in limited quantities to begin with, and only a restricted amount gets delivered.
In times like these, the approach of abundant stock, always in inventory, low prices might be hitting its limits.
Make only the number you need, so the people who really need it can get it. No waste.
By doing this, waste is minimized, unit prices go up, and quality improves.
Looking at recent motorcycle prices and delivery times, that’s the impression I get.
The gap is widening in this hobby too.
But the past is the past, and now is now.
We’re not waiting for chances to fall from the sky, and I’m pretty sure they won’t, so we need to make a plan for what comes next.
I want to chew on regret and complaints, bitter as they are, and turn them into something sweet for tomorrow…
