Positioning it to catch the wind efficiently (rather than at an angle) cools it better.
Vertical is better than angled if possible.

Adjust the position with clearance for steering and contact points for best results.

The lower union uses O-ring sealing.
It tends to spin together, so I apply a light thread locker to the union.
