“The handle bend” and “excellent detachability”
If you’ve made one yourself, you’ve definitely hit this snag. I also made mine straight because it was tedious, but then it started hitting things everywhere. When you account for safety margins and extend it outward, it becomes a nuisance instead.
This handle is properly bent and detachable, which is excellent about it.
Why does it need to be detachable? It’s for safety
When you bend the handle outward for easier work, “it could contact during work” is a real possibility.
Since this frame stand alone is lifting the front up, if it contacts hard and comes off, “the bike will definitely tip over.”
So when I use my homemade frame stand, I always use a stopper to prevent it from coming off. That’s how scary it is.
Easy front lift-up = easy to come off is a downside.

The manual basically states it can only be used on the front, but depending on how you use it, you can also lift the rear. Well, I’ll show you how during a job, so refer to that then.
If you can lift the rear, swingarm work becomes very efficient. If you want to use it on the rear, “make sure the front is absolutely locked with chocks.” This is important. By doing this, you can use it for rear work too, so it’s a highly expandable stand.
