Near my home, there’s Workman Plus Nagaiki Nanai Doi Store. Since there’s a Workman and home center nearby, it’s honestly more convenient than Tokyo.
I was cleaning the drainage ditch and needed “sandbags,” so I went to Nafco to buy them… While I was there, I stopped by Workman and wandered around patrolling. Recently, I’ve been going back and forth between home and the factory a lot, and “boots are too much hassle,” “New Balance gets dirty,” “sandals are dangerous.” Since it’s not something I’d use continuously, I was looking for something that achieves “both design and cost.”
As I was wandering around the shoe section, I saw “a shiny, stylish design,” and nervously checked the price—and wow! “1500 yen!” Looking at Workman Online, it seems to be out of stock… By the way, there was plenty in stock at the store.
They offer a good price point, so you end up buying them anyway… Recently, you might not even be able to afford sandals.
The colors are white, yellow, and black—three options. For everyday use, I’d definitely go with white. Sizes come in M, L, and LL—pretty rough categories. My foot size is 25.5 cm, about US 7-1/2. Honestly, M would fit, but I went with the roomier L size. Since sizing is so rough, it’s good to try them on first.
I don’t normally step on the heel, but they’re designed to be “heel-tread OK.”
The heel part is made of soft material that doesn’t crease easily—that’s the trick. It nicely covers the downside of slip-ons, which tend to fall off.
Honestly, the design isn’t bad at all.
I know I’m going on about it, but… these shoes really hit the spot for me. I’ve never bought this type of shoe before, but they’re surprisingly good…
I’ve been using them seriously for two days now.
After all, it’s only 1500 yen. Don’t expect much from the sole shape and cushioning.
However, it covers everything I need—design, price, and performance. Honestly, I’m glad I bought them, and since they’re out of stock, I’d like to get another pair. I’m heading back to check tomorrow.
