I just can’t seem to like these grooved hose clamps. If the diameter is usable, I basically can’t use anything other than Norma hose clamps. *There are 2 types so be careful and buy the one with a minus screw.
↓This is what I used for the GPZ 900 R this time: SGT-W4/9 20-32mm
The GPZ900R uses about 3 types. Fan/thermostat sensor & switch Some people seem to play around with changing the temperature settings.
If something catches your eye!! Check one-two
If I feel like the connectors are getting tired, I call 110. Well, there wasn’t really anything wrong, but it’s possible they haven’t been removed even once in 30 years.
You don’t have to do everything at once. Just checking a little bit whenever you notice something makes a huge difference in peace of mind.
I also labeled the ignition coils with P-touch so it’s easier to remove next time. *It’s not Tepra, it’s P-touch!
Also, the shims under the tank keep falling off, so I cut a plate and fixed them with Megmix. When you want to remove them, you can pull them out from the side.
The spark plug cap was a bit loose from the start. I thought it might be my imagination, but it was actually loose??? I checked the depth but couldn’t quite figure it out. The plug burn looked good though.
One of them had a double washer, so I removed it.
I hate this Kawasaki structure. Plus, the length is pretty pointless, so I replaced it with a 5mm shorter one. This brake caliper mounting is really bad for serviceability, isn’t it??
The GPZ900R A6 is pretty rare to see.
The further I progress, the more missing parts I unexpectedly discover
First, I forgot to order the radiator cap. *I’ll replace it because it’s dirty.
I forgot to order the hose clip that goes to the reservoir tank. After that, I’ll replace the spark plug cap and cord fill the coolant, adjust the pedal, adjust the headlight and we’re done.
This bike’s disassembly method is a bit unconventional if you’re not used to it… To be continued.
