Right now, I’m completely absorbed in evolving this further. To make it as flexible as possible, the combo of pegboard and display arm is the way to go.
It’s working really well so far. Pegboards come in various pitches. The standard one in Japan is“25mm” spacing—go with that. You can make your own with 5mm holes,but I’m “as little DIY as possible” type because it’s a hassle, and people reading the article won’t be able to easily replicate it. I’d rather use readily available items and spread the word (*´ω｀*)
I’m starting to understand why people get hooked on pegboards.
The expandability and convenience are incredibly high. They have solid weight capacity, and tons of hooks are available. Plus, you can even make your own hooks, so I think that’s why more and more people are getting into them…
I spent days agonizing over which monitor arm to get… and settled on this one based on material, price, design, and functionality. Most importantly,it has an 18kg load capacity,so it’s solid.
The tension is adjustable, and the monitor head detaches with a quick release. I’m thinking ahead for when I need to move it or clean around it. Not that I do it,but the monitor head also rotates 360°.
To get such a nice arm for under 10,000 yen… amazing! I’m still expanding. More on that in next month’s BEST BUY.
Since each part adjusts independently, you can get the perfect position. That’s the key. It delivers a grip that’s incomparable to REC mount arms.
I’m currently renting an INSTA360 X4 AIR, and with its length and weight, I needed a sturdy mount—this is what I found. It comes in two lengths; the shorter one is better for smartphones.
But it’s a bit long.I actually cut and modified it on my lathe…

I think I’ve finally settled on this one. It’s for restaurant dishwashing, but I’ve been going back and forth forever.
I don’t want scratches, but I want to scrub thoroughly. Ideally, I’d like to keep it sleek and gray. All those concerns are solved at once.
Our shop doesn’t have hot water, so we wash in cold water. Even after thorough washing and drying, some mineral deposits remain on glasses. So I used to soak them in citric acid and hot water occasionally, but it’s a hassle. *We do boil water…
Since using this sponge,the deposits come off easily and it doesn’t scratch. It has a really nice feel to it—a dishwashing sponge that works well. You can feel it scrubbing away!
