Quite Ferocious? Actually Docile? ZX12R Head Cover Gasket Replacement, Shorai Battery, Highsider Turn Signals and More

For the past few days, my eyes have been hurting so I haven’t been able to ride the bike much.
With that kind of mood, I haven’t been able to work on anything.

I’ve been doing some research to fulfill the desire to blacken the levers.

You can consider the days of using Suzuki genuine parts over. *You’ll only be able to enjoy this with current model bikes.

If there’s some slack in the clamp area, you can make a slight adjustment

Even just 10mm of adjustment can slightly change the lightness and feel of the lever grip.
Since there’s no cost involved, it’s fun to fine-tune things bit by bit to make it your own.

If these adjustments lead to “I want more and more,” then
you should consider choosing aftermarket parts.

Before you go ahead and install aftermarket parts on everything,
take time to really appreciate the genuine parts, and you’ll find the enjoyment runs much deeper.

This took an incredibly long time to find.
First, I didn’t even know that Kijima sold levers like this.

All these mysterious Chinese levers kept coming up in searches, making it really hard to find.

Looking at it, the dial shape is just slightly different and it’s done really well.
You can pretty much consider it genuine.

If you want to match the lever colors on both sides, definitely check this out.

Excellent! Yoshimura grips come in two types: 115mm and 120mm

This is what it looks like when installed.
I’m the type who doesn’t use adhesive on the handlebar or wiring on the grip.
I apply a thin 3M non-slip seal, so it doesn’t slip and grips really well.

Future replacements are super easy too, so I highly recommend it.

The sensor O-ring was also stiff

I accidentally forgot to order the camshaft sensor O-ring.
It came right out and was pretty worn.

After that, I’ll do a quick check on the brake area and we’ll be done.
