I didn’t fully understand what PACKOUT M18 was. It appears to be a convenient item with male and female connectors that can be wall-mounted.
This hook? Boss? type of thing inserts into the counterpart and locks. The walls are thinner than expected, and the plastic material seems fragile.
Direct mounting is out of the question.
There’s a mounting plate being sold for this, but… It’s more expensive than this battery holder itself… Already putting the cart before the horse. I can’t be bothered, so I’ll order from AliExpress.

Making it is faster! That’s important
Basically, I don’t make things from scratch. It takes time, and the moment one is finished, I think “Oh, I should have done it this way~” and I want to make another one.
If I modify existing items, there’s a limit, and I can accept that.
So my strategy is to cut M5 threads into what I claim is A7075 aluminum plate and fix it with thread locker. I adjust the countersink afterward.
Fixed to the work desk arm from the back for a clean finish. Steel work desks are really nice~
Mounting is complete like this. Items really do look neat when stored in a line. Also, for items you use regularly, assigning them a “home address” makes organization much more efficient.
All organized (*´ω｀*) I’ve successfully organized Makita 18V/40V MAX and Milwaukee batteries.
This kind of work is tedious, but once you invest the time, everything becomes much easier and more efficient going forward. Having your own workshop and garage really is wonderful.
