The GSXR1000K5, once called a masterpiece, is already over a decade old—time really flies.
The owner requested an inspection, fluid tank and hose replacement, and fluid change.
On the left, we installed a mini tank. The bracket fit as-is, so it was quick work.
On the right, we’re using the larger tank. Since it has floating guides and anti-rotation pins, we fabricated a new titanium bracket.
We also repositioned the analog gauge so it’s visible at a glance. (It just wouldn’t fit with the new bracket shape, so we moved it.)
That’s how it turned out. The new tank is transparent rather than black, so it’s much easier to check the fluid condition.
We also replaced the rear brake fluid.
