To be honest, this is pretty trivial stuff, but I’m sure “tons of people are seriously struggling with this.” If you replace all the fluorescent lights in your home with LED, you end up with quite a few of them. To put it bluntly, if you don’t want to wait until non-flammable trash day, this is a must-see!
What’s so great about it is “you can dispose of them the same day,” and “it’s free.” That’s the thing. I did quite a bit—actually, a lot—of research on this. I figured there must be a lot of people out there feeling the same way and struggling with this, so I decided to write a blog post about it.
Cainz Mobara is the second-largest in the Kanto region!
It’s incredibly spacious! There’s also a ton of parking, so you can confidently pull in head-first.
The one thing I find a bit annoying about this Cainz is if you’re coming from the Mobara City Hall direction, “you have to turn right and go around once,” and the right-turn congestion is insane. For now, I’m looking for a more convenient way to get in.
I’ve been practicing taking photos in portrait mode lately. Anyway, the place is so vast you can’t see the other end, so you could spend all day there without getting bored.
It kind of reminds me of the old Tokyu Hands in Shibuya.
The fluorescent light collection box is in the fluorescent light section
Since this light bulb and fluorescent light collection isn’t clearly documented, it might not be widely known.
The collection box is installed along the wall in the fluorescent light fixture section. I couldn’t find the floor map for Cainz Mobara online, so I’ll grab one next time. Anyway, I was really happy to be able to throw them away the same day.

I’ve been getting tired of making shelves from scrap materials lately, so “would it be faster to buy standard-length material and have them cut it?”
I want to figure out how many pieces I need and what the total cost would be.

Weekdays are really empty—it’s the best. You end up having so much fun you stay longer than planned, right? Cainz carries a pretty extensive lineup of original products, so if you do your research, you can discover some pretty niche items.
