January has flown by in no time.
I’ll be leaving Tokyo soon.
Now let’s continue with the work.

We’re going to do Deco-mainte “air-cooled” work.
We need to review maintenance content and pricing, and also examine our system for accepting new customers.
The relocation to Chiba will definitely accelerate renewal and change.

I charged the battery.
It was in surprisingly good condition. Remember to write down the date when you buy a new one.
The drive chain is cleaned and lubricated by hand.

First, I clean it nicely with a rag,
then spray chain lube thoroughly from the inside.
If you apply oil from the inside, it will soak through to the outside via centrifugal force.
Put on nitrile gloves and work the chain to make sure the oil soaks in deep.
By working it by hand, 「chain link stiffness and chain wear」is transmitted to your hands.
You can get a detailed sense of the chain’s condition.

After trying various products, I always end up coming back to DID chain lube.
No matter what I say, the manufacturer’s product is probably the best after all.
Remove the front and rear wheels and check each part.

Since I haven’t received any reports of major issues, it’s just a confirmation check.

The wheel bearings were replaced before, so they’re running very smoothly.
Places the owner can’t clean are our job.

It’s hard to clean inside the fender.
When you clean these small details, it surprisingly makes things look sharp.

If you replace bolts like these on the back of the fender at the right time,
it will prevent future problems.
Honda genuine quality is really the best.

If you keep the chain case clean regularly, dirt won’t accumulate.
The brake discs don’t wear down as much as you’d think.

The OEM front brake disc wear limit is 4mm.
The rear is 5mm, so we can enjoy it a bit more.

The brake calipers are in excellent condition.
They looked so clean because they were overhauled not long ago.
I also lubricated the control systems and other small parts.

Throttle/clutch cables, pedal levers, side stands, and other small parts
moving smoothly makes riding the bike feel so much better.

I replaced the front and rear brake fluid.
It had turned a surprisingly dark color.
What shines can be polished, so let’s clean it up a bit more.

I cleaned up the inside nicely after removing the fairings.
It’s a bit sad that the head cover has paint peeling off.
When the head cover leaks oil and needs replacement or repainting, it will really freshen things up.
So it’s all finished running smooth and purring nicely.
That completes the work.
