Alright, alright (*´ω｀*) Hello everyone! I haven’t been able to balance work and blogging well lately.
I felt a bit relieved after revealing the move, but there’s so much to do that I’m honestly feeling overwhelmed. But it’s funny – when you’re doing what you want to do, “I don’t think it’s difficult” is how it feels. My life fulfillment is expanding as we speak.
It was delivered today the “Town Ace Van KR42v” . This vehicle can easily fit one big bike on it. It’s going to be super useful for moving cargo and shuttling people to the station after the move.
Most importantly, it can fit “5 people” (*´ω｀*) Woohoo!
I went to the shop just to check the cargo area dimensions of the Town Ace Van GL grade. I honestly had no intention of buying, but the condition was so good that I made an impulse decision right then and there.
The exterior looks a bit worn, but the interior cleanliness is incredible. “Was it used daily?” That’s the level we’re talking about.
Whether it’s a bike or a car, I don’t worry much about the exterior. I think it’s better to check the parts that can’t be fixed later.
I hadn’t prepared at all, so it was chaos from the morning
The Town Ace truck I’m trading in was used yesterday, so I hadn’t prepared anything. From the morning, LED bulb removal / Dash cam removal / Interior cargo removal / Spare tire loading / ETC card removal / Light cleaning I finished everything in about 20 minutes and rushed to the 9:30 AM meeting.
A Hiace would have been the safe choice, but I went with the older van model instead. The face just looks cooler? I’m grateful that standard headlights can be used.
These days, you can swap vehicles on your phone with optional insurance. Once the input is complete, the swap is done and the insurance is active. *The insurance agent will contact you later.
After swapping, I filled up with gas and drove back to the shop enjoying the ride. With 60,000 km on it, “there’s very little play in each component” it feels really nice. This GL grade van “the construction of each part is completely different”
I think we’ll be able to enjoy it together for a while.
Gotta quickly install the ETC and dash cam
I need to finish before it gets dark, so I’m doing a rush installation. I have no idea how this works, so it’s quite a struggle.
Is this an audio or some kind of optional connector? I pulled power and ground from the leftover section.
From this connector, ON 12V / Constant 12V / Ground I was able to get all of them. If I can find the matching connector, I’ll snap it in, so I want to look for it when I have time. If anyone knows, let me know.
It’s a bit longer than the truck, parking it right at the edge
At this distance, it’s sticking out onto the sidewalk too much, so I want to back it up right to the glass edge.
I quickly made a parking stop “5cm to the glass – one shot, Tsumokun” and made it. I wish I’d made it earlier. It’s best to deal with stress proactively.
The later model uses bulbs! I thought it was sealed beam
After researching, I found articles saying “sealed beam” , and when I looked at used headlights on Yahoo Auctions, they were indeed sealed beam. I need to hurry and buy Stanley multi-reflectors… *The later model turned out to be “H4 bulbs”…
The stock halogen headlights are surprisingly dim, and you wonder if the lights are even on, which is really dangerous at night.
For now, since it’s H4 bulbs, I’ll put in NOV SIGHT H4 LED bulbs and call it good. When I have time and budget, I’m thinking of upgrading to FH05 multi-reflector headlights. These universal headlights are easy to get and replace, which is really helpful. Older cars really are better thought out.
Fluids/belts have all been replaced, but since it’s a car from nearly 20 years ago, various issues could come up.
For now, after the new year, I need to replace the tires or I won’t feel safe on the highway. But “getting a new toy really does make you excited, doesn’t it? ”
This Town Ace is a commercial vehicle, but the stock seats are unbelievably clean. Cleaning seats is a hassle, so I went ahead and ordered a seat cover.
It feels like this was a really well-cared-for vehicle.
Even the owner’s manual is still here in good condition… I’ve been having really good luck with used items lately.
There was someone who said something interesting long ago: “Things are calling to you” and yeah, that’s totally it~ (*´ω｀*) If you thought so too, you’re a rare creature! I’m pretty tired today~
