KLX250 (LX250S) Tuning: The Famous 12-Hole Injector Swap for Rich Torque!
Vehicle: Kawasaki KLX250 (FI model LX250S). Topic: Improving low-end torque and throttle response via a fuel injector swap. Details: Many early fuel-injected 250cc models suffer from a jerky throttle and thin low-end torque due to lean emissions tuning. Today, we applied a well-known, highly effective trick: swapping the stock injector for a Suzuki OEM 12-hole injector (Part No. 15710-21H10). The increased number of tiny holes creates a much finer fuel mist (better atomization). This allows the fuel to mix more thoroughly with the air, significantly improving combustion efficiency. Verdict: The result on the test ride was incredible. The bike developed a rich, tractable, “sticky” torque at low and mid-RPMs, completely transforming the low-speed rideability. A highly recommended mod for KLX250 and D-Tracker X owners!
